Drees & Sommer UK director James Ryan discussed decarbonising public estates and the UK’s approach to infrastructure at the property expo.

“Every conversation I’m having at MIPIM comes back around to the challenges of decarbonisation and sustainability targets, but it’s a great conversation to be having at a conference like this,” said Ryan. He sees finding value in decarbonisation and being realistic about the approach as key to meeting these challenges.

Global property and construction consultancy Drees & Sommer completed a merger with AA Projects last year, with the name changing to Drees & Sommer UK earlier this month. The business now combines AA Projects’ 25 years of expertise in project management, building surveying and cost consultancy in the UK, with 50 years of German engineering and international scale. The wider Drees & Sommer group has more than 5,000 employees with offices in 20 countries.
