Magenta Living appoints executive director

Andy Lomas will head up the housing provider’s customer and communities team from April, bringing 30 years of experience to the job.

Lomas joins from his previous role as communities managing director at The Places For People Group, a position he held more than five years.

Previous roles include neighbourhood director at Plus Dane Housing and customer operations manager at The Guinness Partnership, an affordable housing provider.

Lomas’ past positions mean he has vast experience in designing, developing, and transforming housing, care, and support services.

In his role as managing director at Magenta, Lomas will have overall responsibility across the company’s customer-facing teams at its Wirral office.

These teams include neighbourhoods management, supported housing, homeownership, customer contact centre, customer experience team, income, lettings, communications, growth, and social impact.

Commenting on his appointment, Lomas reflected on the start of his career, highlighting his wish to deliver homes and services that make a “positive difference,” continuing on to describe his belief that services should “empower customers and communities.”

“Thirty years on, I remain motivated by the same drivers and I remain proud to be part of a sector that plays a key role in creating social value and impact for people and communities,” he said.

Debi Marriott-Lavery, Magenta Living’s chief executive, said: “For the housing sector right now it is all about listening to our customers.

“Andy has a strong track record and is the perfect candidate to be joining us at a pivotal time.”
