Jenkinson resigns from GVA to join CBRE

Iain Jenkinson, senior director and head of GVA's planning, development and regeneration teams for the North, is leaving the company to take up a position at CBRE.

Alongside his role as senior director and head of planning, Jenkinson is investment advisor to the Chrysalis Fund, Merseyside's £32m urban development pot drawn from the European Regional Development Fund's JESSICA initiative.

He has been with GVA for 13 years and was based in the Manchester office. Projects include the £335m Royal Liverpool University Hospital redevelopment by Carillion and the 500,000 sq ft City Place business quarter at Chester station for Muse Developments.

Jenkinson is currently working his notice but is no longer based in the GVA office.

Earlier this month Lambert Smith Hampton announced that CBRE senior director Nick Mullins would be joining the company as head of funding and development. Mullins headed up the CBRE development and investment consultancy team in Manchester.

Mark Rawstron, senior director of GVA and head of the Manchester office, said: "We wish Iain every success in the future and recognise Iain's historic support in helping GVA to build a very talented planning development and regeneration team in the North West – a key part of our wider national team, the largest planning practice within the UK.

"Our regional and national PDR team is in rude health. Nicola Rigby's promotion to director last May provided leadership to our 13-strong North West team which continues to grow and expand."

Well done CBRE – two excellent poaches, ahem, acquisitions.
