Greenbuild Awards 2013 shortlist announced

Thirteen North West finalists have been announced for the Greenbuild Awards 2013.

The event recognises excellence in sustainable buildings, with a particular focus on projects that can illustrate an understanding of the importance of building performance in use.

The winners will be announced at a celebratory dinner on 8 May at the Midland Hotel, Manchester, during the Greenbuild Expo 2013.

A panel of industry leaders including Kerry Mashford, chief executive of National Energy Foundation, will judge the shortlist.

Mashford said: "Improving the in-use energy performance of buildings is critical to decreasing the UK's overall CO2 emissions, managing energy costs and reducing fuel poverty.
