Gateway into Burnley logistics site completed
The new bridge into the £50m Burnley Bridge Business Park development at Junction 9 of the M65 is now finished.
The bridge built by Eric Wright Civil Engineering links the 70-acre site, being developed by Eshton, across the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
The bridge was crucial to access the park, where phase one is underway, comprising 64,100 sq ft Cobalt Building and 29,000 ft Magnesium Court.
The development received £3.85m from the European Regional Development Fund and a £2.4m loan from Lancashire's Growing Places fund.
James Chapman, managing director of Eshton, added: "The completion of this iconic bridge shows that the project is really starting to take shape and the development has already received significant interest from large occupiers.
"The business park's prominent location and the calibre of accommodation on offer will ensure that the development appeals to both local and national operators."
