Flowering ambition
One of the sumptuous designs below is due to become reality as an educational, conference and seed production complex at the National Wildflower Centre in Knowsley, near Liverpool. A panel of judges appointed by RIBA is currently deciding who will emerge the winner from the six short-listed architects. The winner is expected to be announced in March.
The six firms short-listed are: DM3 Architecture, from Bath; Ian Simpson Architects, Manchester; Kirkland Fraser Moor, Hertfordshire; Nicolas Tye Architects, Bedfordshire; Studio Verna Architects, Lancashire; Urban Salon Architects, London.
