First office letting at 31 Booth Street

Global travel management firm The Appointment Group has struck a deal to occupy 5,600 sq ft at 31 Booth Street in Manchester.

The company plans to move into the fifth and sixth floors of the grade two-listed building by August following a fit-out. The £2.3m redevelopment of 31 Booth Street was completed by Helical last year.

The Appointment Group will be the first office tenant to move into the building, with 3,000 sq ft of leisure space on the ground floor currently occupied by Novalife Spa.

31 Booth Street consists of almost 21,200 sq ft of office space and whole floorplates from 3,700 sq ft and suites from 1,500 sq ft are currently available. Place North West understands that approximately 1,500 sq ft of space on the fourth floor is currently under offer.

Will Parry, asset management executive for Helical, said: “31 Booth Street has undergone a comprehensive and sensitive refurbishment to provide exemplary contemporary office space in the heart of Manchester’s Central Business District, on the door step of St Peters Square.

“Helical are committed to providing exemplary workspace for our occupiers and we’re delighted to be welcoming The Appointment Group to 31 Booth Street.”

CBRE and Savills are joint agents on the scheme.

Explaining the rationale behind the move, The Appointment Group said it has experienced “significant growth” in its Manchester office over the past four years and required a larger, more modern space.

Jodie Edwards-Locke, UK managing director, added: “In just four years we have seen TAG’s Manchester operation expand by over 400% to 30 employees. To accommodate this continued expansion, our new prestigious office will provide our staff with a greatly improved working environment, ensuring TAG retains excellent staff whilst appealing to prospective talent to join our business.”

“This new premium location and modern facilities will also attract new customers in the North West region and beyond. It has been an exciting four years, and we look at this new location as the start of another great chapter of TAG’s history.”
