CPUK order book ‘back to pre-recession levels’
North West builder Construction Partnership UK said it has secured contracts worth £20m over the next 12 months.
The Skelmersdale-based business won its first contract in Cumbria, a £4.3m job at Castle Retail Park in Penrith.
The company was appointed to build a £7m student development in Salford, and is negotiating a student scheme in the East Midlands.
Refurbishments are also planned at Ashworth Hospital on Merseyside for Mersey Care NHS Trust following the completion of a Step Down Unit at Rainhill for the same client.
Steve Burke, managing director of CPUK, believes the key to new projects and refurbishments is the securing of anchor tenants. He said: "We are winning work in good sectors with strong clients and we are looking at repeat business with a number of them, which is very encouraging.
"Activity for the company is returning to pre-recession levels, surpassing my target for the current financial year with six months to spare, and we're pleased to be winning contracts outside of the North West.
"CPUK is growing geographically, but we are making sure we do this in the right way, with our well-established team, and with the supply chain on board."
He said the business is in its strongest position for four years
