Council planner joins consultancy start-up

Peter Taylor, former assistant director of development and public protection at Warrington Council, has joined Liverpool-based planning consultancy SATPLAN as an associate.

He will focus on residential and commercial projects within the North West and West Midlands.

SATPLAN was established in January by ex GVA and GL Hearn planner Shaun Taylor. He said: "Peter brings with him more than 30 years of experience from both the public and private sector. Peter's appointment is the result of strong growth throughout 2013 and forms part of our investment programme which will allow the business to expand whilst ensuring that our clients benefit from a high standard of service."

SATPLAN is currently involved with residential projects across the country, which involve more than 3,500 dwellings, working with national and regional house builders, land promoters and land owners.
