CLB Coopers moves to Ship Canal House
Chartered accountants CLB Coopers has taken the entire fifth floor at Ship Canal House office building on King Street, Manchester city centre.
The firm has agreed on a ten year lease with Catalyst Capital, asset manager for Ship Canal House, for an undisclosed sum and is moving to the 6,655 sq ft office from Century House in St Peter's Square.
CLB Coopers also has offices in Bolton and Lancaster.
David Travis, managing partner of CLB Coopers, said: "We wanted to maintain our presence within the prime core and it was important that we found a quality building in a prestigious location. Ship Canal House is a stunning building and will provide an excellent working environment for our staff. We have selected a building that will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of the business."
Will Lewis of OBI Property and Terry McMahon of LLM Solicitors advised CLB Coopers on the acquisition of new premises.
The transaction follows HBJ Gateley Wareing's move to the building. Will Kennon, from CB Richard Ellis, who advised Catalyst Capital, added: "This latest letting at Ship Canal House represents a buoyant 12 months for the letting team, during which we have successfully let in excess of 40,000 sq ft to three high profile occupiers. The success is testament to the quality of Grade A refurbishment that has been delivered by Catalyst Capital, and there are now only two floors remaining at the landmark building on King Street."
Catalyst Capital is also advised by GVA Grimley.
