Clayton Square lines up Lane 7
Bowling and bar operator Lane 7 has committed to a 20-year lease at Liverpool’s Clayton Square shopping centre.
Lane 7 will occupy 10,000 sq ft within the scheme, taking previously vacant space on ground and first floor levels, with works to create the space now nearing completion.
Landlord Patrizia said that Lane 7 will further enhance the offering at the centre, following on from other recent arrivals Bon Pan Asian, McDonalds, Tailor & Co and Bodycare.
Shaun Hose, director at Patrizia, said: “The positive trend of Clayton Square is being reflected in attracting new and exciting uses that complement the existing mix within the centre. We look forward to sharing more news over the coming months.”
Gary Crompton of joint leasing agent Barker Proudlove added: “We are very pleased to have secured Lane 7, which will further enhance the centre’s strong tenant mix.
“There is a lot happening in this area of the city centre with redevelopment of the Lime Street area and the city council’s purchase and planned redevelopment of Central Station in addition to the buzz surrounding the evening offer around Bold Street.
“Lane 7 will be a fantastic addition to this and we welcome discussions with other interesting retail and leisure operators.”
The operator currently has four venues live, in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Birmingham and Aberdeen, with Liverpool among seven further cities listed as “coming soon” on the Lane 7 website. Along with bowling, the centres offer pool, table tennis, karaoke and mini golf.
The 150,000 sq ft Clayton Square includes a covered mall anchored by Boots along with external frontage to Church Street, Parker Street, Great Charlotte Street and Ranelagh Street.
The centre was acquired by Rockspring from InfraRed Capital Partners in March 2016 for £38.4m, with Patrizia then acquiring Rockspring in December 2017.
