Bright Building fully let as two tech firms sign up

Software developer Cubic Motion and interior design company DigitalBridge have taken 16,300 sq ft between them at the Bright Building on Manchester Science Park with the building now fully let.

Cubic Motion, which provides facial animation software for video games, has taken 9,000 sq ft, and now employs more than 100 staff at the site. The company was founded in 2009 and has worked on games including the Call of Duty series.

Interior design company DigitalBridge has also taken 7,300 sq ft. The firm, backed by John Lewis, provides interior design software and technology, which can be used in retail environments.

With the two lettings complete, the 70,000 sq ft building is now full after it opened in summer 2017. Other occupiers include NorthWest EHealth, which was one of the building’s pre-lets for a 12,000 sq ft space; psoriasis treatment analytics company the British Association of Dermatologists Biologic and Immunomodulators Register; and automotive engineering consultancy Ricardo.

The 20,000 sq ft ground floor is set aside for events and communal space.

Tom Renn, managing director of Manchester Science Partnerships said: “Cubic Motion and DigitalBridge are established names in Manchester’s digital tech sector and are quickly making their names known across the country too. They’ve attracted backing from sector-savvy investors, scaled quickly from their existing bases at Manchester Science Park, and grown their headcounts substantially over the last decade.

“They now employ hundreds of the digital industry’s brightest minds and are integral members of the MSP community. Both companies stand as blueprints for tech scaleup success, which other promising startups can draw inspiration from.”
