Blackpool’s £12m Boulevard Hotel opens

The 120-bedroom hotel has opened following a development by Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The Boulevard Hotel was completed by Ball & Berry and contractor Truman Design & Build.

The five-storey hotel also features a 90-seat restaurant called The Beachside and conference facilities for up to 200 people.

The development sits to the north of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and next to the Big Blue Hotel which was the first hotel venture from the developer.

Developer Blackpool Pleasure Beach gained planning approval in April 2018, and construction started on site in June 2018. A phased handover began in May this year where the ground floor was in full use.

“This is a continuation of Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s ongoing investment and a pivotal moment for the town. We’re proud to be at the very heart of a transformation that will see Blackpool become one of the UK’s most exciting resorts.”

“We worked together with a client and contractor to deliver a phased scheme that enabled the hotel to partially open ahead of its completion and capitalise on key trading months, whilst also overcoming challenging site restrictions posed by the adjoining buildings.”
