BDP project manager joins Space0

SpaceO, the Cheshire-based interior design consultancy, has hired Gareth Hughes from architects BDP as operations manager.

Hughes spent 11 years at BDP, first as a project planner and more recently as a project manager. He said: "I'm delighted to be joining SpaceO at such an exciting time. The company has grown very quickly and I'm very much looking forward to contributing to new challenges including implementing new processes and systems which will help facilitate the growth strategy defined by the SpaceO board."

The SpaceO team has grown from two to 35 people in just under three years. Hughes will be responsible for overseeing the company's project pipeline, systems and processes, and will report directly to the managing director Wayne Taylor.

Taylor added: "We've employed 17 people now since the turn of the year, 10 of them in the last quarter alone and that's testament to the rate at which the business is growing. We've recently won some very special design projects and I'm delighted that Gareth is part of our team, the infrastructure and recommendations he is bringing to the team will be crucial for our future growth."
