Baker Mallett Centenary Celebration | Gallery + video
More than 160 guests gathered for a special evening of celebration and fundraising at the National Football Museum, to ring in the 100th birthday of Baker Mallett, with nearly £11,000 raised for Vincent Kompany and Andy Burnham’s TACKLE4MCR charity.
Baker Mallett helped build the original Wembley Stadium, and their 100 year anniversary saw the firm return to their football roots, with a football-themed bash.
Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, welcomed guests, alongside Baker Mallett chairman, Neil Griffiths.
Guests won prizes from the raffle in aid of TACKLE4MCR, including a Manchester City shirt signed by Vincent Kompany, tickets to Kompany’s testimonial game, a stay at The Principal Hotel, afternoon tea for 2 at The Lowry Hotel and more.
Indie pop band The Fiction and Place Party resident DJ Nic kept guests entertained, alongside the very popular Batak reaction game and photo booth complete with football props.
