Specsavers scraps move to South Manchester
Specsavers has abandoned the search for a 30,000 sq ft headquarters office building in South Manchester after deciding not to move in the current economic climate.
The world's largest independent optical retailer had retained King Sturge in Manchester to handle the search and viewed several sites in South Manchester before calling a halt to the programme.
Specsavers is headquartered in Guernsey and has a further seven offices in England, with a regional development base in Skelmersdale among them.
All parties declined to comment.
