Banton hails revenue hike at Artez
The Artez construction company founded by former Urban Splash and Artisan director Mike Banton reported turnover up from £379,060 to £1.9m in the year to November 2012, with profits up from £58,000 to £236,000 in the same period.
Founded at a base in Bolton in 2010, recent Artez projects include Network Rail's Victoria Station in London, the Odeon in Bradford, and Mapeley Estates' Albert Bridge House building in Manchester.
Artez employs six people.
Banton said: "Since we established ourselves in the market in late 2010, we've gone from strength to strength.
"We've continued to win a diverse range of projects because we've carved out a reputation for being different.
"We have been able to find a niche that helps us cater for the requirements of the property industry as it continues to battle against the ongoing challenges of the macro economic environment.
"I hold very high hopes for 2013 after the year we've just completed.
"I'm very fortunate that my previous directorships with some of the industry's best known players; Urban Splash and Artisan to name a couple – means that I've been given the chance to work on some fantastic schemes and build this business into one which can really help out the industry.
"I look forward to forging new contacts and working in new areas of the country in the future."
