GALLERY | Claremont refreshes Arkwright House reception
Work has been completed on the £1m overhaul of the reception area at the 95,000 sq ft Manchester office building.
Claremont completed the works at the Parsonage Gardens landmark to designs by Sheppard Robson, also the architect when then-asset manager Catalyst Capital commissioned a £16m overhaul in 2017. The building is now under the management of PGIM.
Arkwright House was at one time the headquarters of the English Sewing Cotton Company. The building offers floorplates of up to 15,000 sq ft.
Colliers International and Avison Young are the retained letting agents for the building.
Conor Walmsley, surveyor at Colliers, said: “Inspired by the changing attitude to working environments, we wanted to create a business lounge with additional breakout areas and more informal, socially adaptable space for our tenants to meet.
“We have had fantastic feedback from both existing and potential occupiers about the new space, which reflects the accommodation available.”
Current Arkwright occupiers include engineering firm Ramboll, which has a 10-year lease on a 7,000 sq ft penthouse office suite, and online medic Push Doctor, which occupies 15,000 sq ft on the first floor. Crookes Walker Consulting also worked on the reception project.
