Peel signs two at Lowry

Peel has reported two new lettings at its Lowry Outlet Shopping Centre in Salford Quays.

Lombok, which sells eastern-inspired furniture and lighting, has acquired 1,840 sq ft on the ground floor.

The Real China will occupy a 4,120 sq ft restaurant serving an oriental buffet.

Helen Anderton, centre manager, said: "Lombok will be a key addition to our already strong mix of retail brands, which will complement and strengthen the Centre's existing tenant portfolio. The restaurant sector is a key area we're looking to expand at the Lowry Outlet and The Real China will give our customers further choice on our diverse and popular mix of restaurants. We know there is an increasing demand for dining here and feel this new opening will drive commercial growth for the Plaza restaurants as a whole and position us as an attractive dining destination."

Peel acquired the 300,000 sq ft centre from Emerson in August last year to improve the shopping and dining offer of Media City UK nearby.
