Uptown Riverside back on track after core snag
Property Alliance Group and Urban Splash’s £50m scheme off Trinity Way in Salford is progressing following an engineering error that resulted in the partial rebuild of one of the cores last year.
The cores for all three of the blocks at the 156-apartment Uptown Manchester are now complete.
Demolition specialist PP O’Conner was drafted in last year to knock down part of one of the concrete cores due to “engineering issues”.
In a statement release at the time, PAG said: “This is an unfortunate situation but we would like to reassure the local community that the site is safe and we are doing everything we can to minimise any potential disruption.”
The development is located opposite Anaconda Cut, Salford’s tallest building, next to the River Irwell. It will feature a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a gym and cinema room.
ShedKM is the architect for the project and the main contractor is FK Group.
The scheme features a modular element and a portion of the construction is taking place off site.
