We are very pleased to be working with one of the UK’s leading Property Developers who are actively seeking to employ a Senior Development Manager to be based in Manchester.
This is an appointment to lead and deliver all development activities for a leading UK property developer that specialises in delivering development in partnership with large landowners. There is a plan to deliver 1,000 plus residential units in the UK over the next 3 – 4 years principally in the alternative residential market. Future schemes that are in pre-construction stage include a £90m new build residential project in Manchester. Mixed use and Hotel projects are also in the pipeline.
With their Head Office based in London (West End), this position will oversee an existing team of project & technical managers, cost managers & buyers and a finance function. The candidate can be based in Manchester or London.
The role:
Managing all aspects of the development projects from start to finish to include:
• Site identification
• Strategic Project management
• Team appointment
• Site feasibility
• Site legals – Land, funding and sales
• Managing Planning Process
• Managing funding process
• Managing team to tender the scheme
• Managing the sales team
• Managing the construction team to deliver the scheme on site
• Managing Sales handover and completion
The Senior Development Manager will manage a number of projects subject to size at any given time with each at different stages of the development cycle.
The candidate will subject to experience appoint a project manager to manage the professional team and sit alongside them in delivering the schemes.
The candidate needs to be able to demonstrate having been involved in most if not all the items of work as noted above.
A key attribute from the candidate is to have the right attitude. They have to be determined to deliver whilst also being empathetic to our key landowner partners.
