The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is expanding its Housing function and recruiting to several roles to support evolving policy, targets, funding, and projects as part of Nationwide new Government initiatives. We are currently recruiting for a Housing Development Associate to join the Combined Authority’s Housing Partnership team. This exciting role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of residents across the City Region and wider; with many projects also contributing to climate action and Net Zero targets.
You will work across project teams, supporting the assessment, preparation and funding of projects and investments that will generate economic growth, social and wellbeing benefits; whether in relation to new and affordable housing delivery, or decarbonisation of existing buildings. This role is a great opportunity for someone who has experience within the housing industry, particularly in creating, assessing or interpreting project proposals, or other delivery information to generate clear reports and recommendations. This role will include developing projects and managing stakeholders, working within funding parameters and shaping housing outcomes that suit the needs of the Liverpool City Region. We are a passionate and enthusiastic team and can provide variety and development opportunities for the right candidate.
About the person
Essential skills and knowledge for this role:
• A subject relevant degree or equivalent
• Significant professional experience within the housing industry
• Working effectively in a project team and with active support from senior team members, to manage projects and relationships
• Ability to analyse and interpret economic / financial / social data to assess or monitor projects or proposals
• Ability to produce straightforward financial models / projections / analyses in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to synthesise information to generate clear reports and actionable summaries
• Ability to write clearly and succinctly and to communicate effectively
• Sensitivity to the political, environmental and social impacts of the team’s projects and work
