European Estates Director

Manchester based  – Six figure salary + generous bonus

Position Overview:

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for driving excellence in property and estates management? We are seeking an estates director to join our dynamic team at a leading multi-venue entertainment business in Europe. As the estates director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic plans while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery across our estate. Reporting directly to the CFO, Europe, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire our estates team towards achieving organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of the strategic plan for property and estates management, collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
• Direct the organisation’s activities to achieve financial targets, quality standards, and legislative compliance.
• Oversee the development and operation of programs and services in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results.
• Manage capital projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility and tight budgetary controls within the department.
• Uphold legal compliance and health and safety standards across all venues.
• Develop and maintain property-related policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related business discipline
• Certified membership of The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), membership of RICS, CIBSE, or similar
• Extensive senior management experience in Estate and Facilities Management or related field
• Proven track record in managing property lifecycle projects and complex portfolios
• Strong strategic planning and organizational skills
• Sound technical knowledge of building systems
• Experience in managing SLAs, KPIs, and third-party contractors
• Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills
