The Midlands Real Estate Summit 2027

The Midlands Real Estate Summit is a full-day gathering for the organisations investing in, developing and transforming one of the UK’s most connected and commercially significant property markets.

The Midlands is moving into a defining period for development and investment. Birmingham East Mayoral Development Corporation has been established to accelerate £11bn of regeneration across East Birmingham, encompassing Curzon Street and the Central Heart site around HS2, the £4bn Birmingham Knowledge Quarter, the £2bn Smithfield scheme beside the Bullring and Digbeth’s expanding creative economy. Across the region, this is creating a much larger conversation about how transport, innovation, housing and employment space can combine to generate durable growth rather than isolated projects.

In Nottingham, Homes England is seeking a delivery partner for Broad Marsh, where plans include around 1,000 homes, 20,000 sq m of retail, office and community space, and up to 2,000 jobs.

The East Midlands Combined County Authority’s growth plans target more than 100,000 homes, £13bn added to the regional economy, 210,000 additional qualifications and more than £2bn of transport investment; it has also committed funds to unlocking housing, regeneration and employment sites.

The Midlands Real Estate Summit will gather senior figures from across the public and private sectors to examine the opportunities and constraints shaping the Midlands: growth in its cities and towns, major regeneration, infrastructure, investment, housing delivery, workplace demand and industrial expansion. It will focus on the practical conditions needed to turn development potential into investable, deliverable projects.
