The Stern report, is an independent report on the economics of climate change produced by Lord Stern of Brentford for the Government, which analysed the effects of climate change on the world economy and concluded that the benefits of strong, early action considerably outweigh the later costs. The Mini-Stern for Cheshire & Warrington looks at economic impacts and opportunities of climate change and recommends interventions that can be taken at a sub-regional level. This event will bring together stakeholders from public and private sector organisations in Cheshire and Warrington to consult with them on these opportunities and interventions. For further information contact Kate Radford, Climate Change Programme Manager, CWEA, tel 01606 734191 or email: kate.radford@cwea.org.uk.
