The enforcement of planning controls is a complicated and distinct area of work requiring both planning and investigative skills. Without enforcement the whole integrity of the planning system can fall into disrepute. Yet enforcement is often seen as an add-on and is under resourced, despite enforcement officers often being the public face of planning. The conference will draw on specialist to provide an informative update on Case Law, Practice and Policy.
