Regeneration through the Renaissance of the UK’s Waterways

An important example of the renaissance of our waterways is the restoration of the Victorian Anderton Boat Lift, re-opened in 2002 following significant renovation involving many organisations including the Heritage Lottery Fund, the local community and over 2000 private individuals. The Event will give an overview of how our waterways have helped to rejuvenate the economies and quality of life for many waterside communities, together with a presentation on the Anderton Boat Lift.

Directions via www.andertonboatlift.co.uk (The Boat Lift is located approximately three miles from Northwich Town Centre. There is a car park adjacent to the Boat Lift. Free car park passes will be available to those attending the event.

Time Presentation at 4:00pm. There is an optional visit & ride on Boat Lift at 3:00pm
