The Canton Fair, China’s biggest import and export fair sees 170,000 overseas buyers and 22,000 exhibitors meeting at one event. Liverpool Chamber of Commerce is working closely with Guangzhou-based China Foreign Trade Centre to organise a visit to Liverpool on 18 March by a delegation from Ministry of Commerce of China and the Canton Fair organiser to give Liverpoolbusinesses have a valuable opportunity to know more about the benefits of taking park in this event. Alison Fisher, head of the Chamber International Trade Department commented: “If your company is interested in trading with China, or are involved in the Chinese market already, this is a great chance for you to get the first hand information on import and export opportunities, regulations and best practices. It is of particular interest for sourcing managers, international trading advisers, importers and exporters, retailers, policy officials from local authorities, anyone with an interest in selling products and services to China.” The event is free to attend however places are limited, allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. It takes place 3:30-5:00pm on Wednesday 18th March in the Council Chamber, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.
