Northwest Tidal Energy Group Launch Event

The Northwest of England has a significant tidal energy resource, with the capability to provide around 6% of UK power through renewable energy tidal schemes. The Northwest Tidal Energy Group, which brings together key stakeholders from industry, public sector and academia, is facilitated and chaired by the Northwest Regional Development Agency. The group aims to raise the profile of the Northwest’s tidal energy offering, as well as increasing the dissemination of best practice and encouraging open debate on the topic.
