- AMY HARHOFF, DURHAM COUNCIL | One of the council’s key projects is Aykley Heads, a unique city centre development site that is set to be the catalyst for the Durham Innovation District. The site will drive a step change in economic growth, providing 4,000 jobs and 38,468sqm commercial floorspace.
- INSIYAH KHUSHNOOD, IGLOO | Igloo is a regenerative developer of sustainable neighbourhoods for communities, including the Pattern Shop, a £9m restoration of a historic engineering workshop in Newcastle, which now features more than 30,000 sq ft of workspace.
- NICOLA FAIRBAIRN, DAC BEACHCROFT | Fairbairn acts for a wide range of local authorities in the North East, as well as private developers involved in major regional projects, universities and Government agencies, and will share insights on the state of the market in the region.
- PETER MCINTYRE, SUNDERLAND CITY COUNCIL | McIntyre will present on the opportunities available at Riverside Sunderland, an ambitious city centre regeneration project delivering 1,000 sustainable homes and over 1m sq ft of office space.
- RICHARD HORNIMAN, MIDDLESBROUGH COUNCIL | Richard Horniman will delve into the Boho zone, Middlesbrough’s digital and creative quarter, with offers a mix of commercial office space, live-work space, and residential space, across 11 separate buildings.
- JAMES PITT, MUSE | Muse is a nationwide placemaker, with a strong track record of delivering successful places, with the emphasis on sustainability, community and quality. Muse has a long history of working in the North East having delivered Newcastle Quayside, Walkergate Durham and HMRC Longbenton and more recently creating places in Stockton-on-Tees and South Shields.
- KAREN ANDERSON, HOMES ENGLAND | Karen leads the agency’s support to North East strategic place partnership and the forth yards project in Newcastle, working closely with North East local authorities and the emerging North East combined authority to help them achieve local ambitions.
