The Liverpool City Region boasts ambitious sci-tech campuses, thriving logistics industry, higher education institutions and more, contributing to an economy of £28.3bn.
Our panel will talk through the project pipeline and specific issues facing Wirral, St Helens, Knowsley, Sefton, Halton, and Liverpool to give a broad picture of doing business the region, its unique challenges and opportunities for investment.

- NEIL KIRKHAM, CBRE | Oversees the wider CBRE Liverpool team, with occupier clients including Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC, Taylor Wessing, Baltic Creative and Liverpool John Moores University.
- STEVE ROTHERAM, LIVERPOOL CITY REGION COMBINED AUTHORITY | Was elected as the first Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region in 2017, and now also sits on the Liverpool Strategic Futures Advisory Panel.
- GEORGE ABERDEEN, KINRISE | Focuses on investment management, operations and asset management. Kinrise was founded in 2015 and has been investing in the major cities of the UK with plans for substantial growth. They bought Martins Bank Building, Liverpool in 2021 and have started work to make it a leading office building again.
- LISA HARRIS, ST HELENS COUNCIL | Part of the team that brought forward Glass Futures. Now seeking to deliver Parkside, one of the largest strategic employment sites in the region with Freeport customs and tax site designation. Committed to delivering inclusive growth.
- STEPHEN YOUNG, HALTON COUNCIL | Recently joined Halton Council as their new chief executive at the start of April 2022 with a mandate to lead the organisational transformation and service improvement programmes as well as continuing to grow the economy and regenerate the borough.
- ANDREW BAIN, TRITAX SYMMETRY | Is construction lead on numerous large-scale logistics schemes including Symmetry Park Merseyside, where Tritax Symmetry is currently onsite delivering a 161,900 sq ft logistics facility for Yodel Delivery Network with the first phase earmarked for completion in the first half of 2023.
- STUART ROGERS, MUSE | Projects in Merseyside include a joint venture with Wirral Council in Birkenhead, including the delivery of the £75m 1.4m sq ft town centre masterplan, and the regeneration of St Helens town centre delivered as part of the English Cities Fund.
