Mersey Maritime Face-2-Face meeting

Date: 7 February 2012, 7:45 - 12:00

Location: Mersey Maritime offices, Birkenhead

Email: Annette.Parker@merseymaritime.co.uk

Our first F2F meeting of 2012 takes place on Tuesday 7 February and we very much hope you'll be joining us for the usual one-hour industry update. The February session will also be taking a look at key infrastructure projects and proposals to ease congestion on major routes in and out of the Port of Liverpool. Steve Nicholson, Project Director for Mersey Gateway Bridge, will kick off our guest presentation spots this year by explaining the procurement process now taking place to deliver the £600m new Mersey crossing and highlighting opportunities for local businesses. Then, to complement Steve's presentation, we'll be providing a short overview of the recently published Access to the Port of Liverpool Study, looking at other proposals to improve access to the Port.

We are keen to encourage attendance by SMEs and engineering companies that have potential to win business as part of a supply chain to larger contractors, as well as maritime sector companies whose business stands to benefit from investment in, and future growth of, the Port.

As ever, the Mersey Maritime team will be on hand to keep the discussion flowing and, if time permits, offer newcomers to the forum the chance to introduce themselves and their business to the rest of the group.

If you have not previously attended F2F and are interested in finding out more about what we do with a view to becoming a member, please also feel welcome to join us.

Breakfast is served from 07.45am (for an 8.00am start), with time to meet and build contacts from the industry both before and after the formal part of the meeting.

To Confirm your Attendance

Please reply to this email or telephone us on 0151 647 4747 by close of business, Friday, 3 February.
