It is 2015. Marty McFly's ambitious plans to rejuvenate Hill Valley by building a hover board factory and associated retail outlet are threatened by the discovery of a covenant from 1985 that restricts the development and use of the only viable site. This fictional case study will consider the use of restrictive covenants, their strengths and limitations and how to overcome them. Doc Brown then transports Marty back to 1985 to see what could have been done differently…
