With the retail sector undergoing the greatest shift seen in decades, join Place North West on 13 September to explore the current state of the market, occupier trends, and the technology set to define the future of shopping.
Sponsored by IBI Group, DAC Beachcroft and Savills, this half-day conference will debate the position of the UK retail sector, exploring a year which has seen household names go bust, e-commerce gain market share, and CVAs feature daily in headlines.
While the first half of the morning will examine the retail sector of today, the second half of the session will look at the industry’s future, examining the use of consumer data, apps, drone deliveries, Amazon Go, and virtual reality revolutionising the shopping experience. What do greater clicks mean for bricks? Can a greater focus on experiential stores lure consumers back to shopping centres?

Daniel Mead, head of shopping centre asset management, APAM
Alison Key, head of real estate, DAC Beachcroft
