This event will look at some of the research and development facilities that are in the city and the surrounding areas in the lead up to Manchester being the City of Science for 2016. Thomas Renn is responsible for the Manchester Science Partnerships across the region. He will provide an insight to the plans moving forward and the significant impact these facilities bring to the city.
We will also look at Proton beam and the delivery of this highly complex facility at the Christie. Phil will take us on the long journey to the present day and the delivery of the project. He will explain what proton beam is, the skills they have had to develop and embed in to their own delivery team and the international engagement they have undertaken.
