Universities, colleges and schools are changing the face of the North West, whether its through constructing new campuses from historic buildings or selling off prime development land. Students themselves are proving to be a growing opportunity for residential developers.
This conference will bring together university leaders, PBSA experts, and developers to share the need-to-know information about the education sector and its role in the built environment.

- BEC BENNETT, UNIVERSITY OF SALFORD | Has over 20 years experience working in environmental consultancy and estates management in higher education, including a number of universities in the UK and Australia.
- SALLY STONE, MANCHESTER SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE | As programme leader for the MA architecture and adaptive reuse programme, Sally's work focusses on the sustainable reuse of buildings and situations.
- TOM JONSON, LUC | Recently worked for the University of Salford as part of the university’s compliance team as well as acting as project landscape architect overseeing the implementation of the Sheffield University Student Village Project.
- JACK POXON, CYNERGY BANK | Focuses on property finance origination at Cynergy Bank, who are an active PBSA lender across the UK Regions. Cynergy Bank has over £150m of committed facilities in the sector, contributing to over £275m of stabilised PBSA value and c.2,500 bed spaces.
- MAX BIELBY, VITA GROUP | Focussed on delivering the platform’s outstanding user experience and is responsible for everything from customer service and marketing to product development and wellbeing.
- VERITY CUBITT, SAVILLS | Director within the specialist PBSA team at Savills, providing valuation and strategic advice to lenders, operators and investors in the sector across the UK.
- BEN MORLEY, TRUE STUDENT | Bricks Group's student accommodation brand offers apartments and studios across the UK, including Manchester and Liverpool
- MARC HENSHAW, DAY ARCHITECTURAL | Has overall responsibility for the private sector and projects for the practice, including a 15-storey student building with 457 bedrooms as part of Discovery Quay, Salford.
