Date: 5 July 2011, 7:30 - 12:00

Location: Pyramid & Parr Hall, Palmyra Square, Warrington, WA1 1BL

Do you want to give your project the best possible chance of attracting finance?
Would you like some really practical help?

Do you want to know how to write finance attracting business plans for renewable energy projects?

The aim of this event is to provide practical advice and guidance to SME businesses on how best to develop practical business plans for renewable energy systems and projects to attract finance. The workshop will consist of theory-based workshops, practical examples and case studies.

A financial organisation will also be taking a session to explain about any issues and constraints that may affect potential developers.

The practical sessions will be run by Mary Walsh of Colbha Consulting. Mary is a renewable energy lawyer with significant experience of developing energy projects and the legal implications of commercial energy development. She has had work published on community based energy projects and has worked with community groups, small enterprises and large utilities across a broad spectrum of renewable energy
products.

After the sessions, we would expect clients to be able to:

Structure business plans to make them finance ready:

  • What you need to know
  • What the lender needs to know.

Understand risks on all sides

  • What you need to consider
  • What the lender sees as a barrier to lending.

Be able to develop mitigation plans and contingencies

  • How to reduce these barriers and increase your lenders confidence
