Construction strategy awareness seminar

Date: 15 November 2011, 4:30 - 12:00

Location: Peter Jost Upper Lecture Theatre, LJMU

4.30pm-7pm.

The Government Construction Strategy (2011) represents the latest evolution of the improvement agenda and challenges the industry to innovate and provide better value in public sector construction projects.

It is structured around the main themes of wide-ranging procurement reform, greater efficiency, implementation of more effective cost and value benchmarking and new priorities for sustainability & low carbon construction.

This means that the industry, contractors and other suppliers must adapt and innovate to meet these challenges in order to remain competitive in the public sector construction market.

This awareness raising seminar will be led by the Liverpool Construction Best Practice Club, and supported by Room4 Consulting's experts.

The event will present an overview of the 'strategic context' and will provide delegates with advice on how their organisations can innovate and adapt to meet the objectives set out in the Government's Construction Strategy and to remain competitive in the public sector construction market.
