CDM 2015: Is your project in line with the current regulations?

Date: 2 March 2017 - 2 March 2017, 10:00 - 12:30

Location: Liverpool

The application of CDM is more of an art than a box ticking exercise. As an expert in your field, you must know your business when it comes to CDM 2015. This seminar will focus on roles and responsibilities and how to ensure your project is compliant with Health & Safety Regulations, so far as reasonably practicable.

Through the use of a case study, this seminar will explore the various duty holder roles and responsibilities, and will explain how, in the pre-construction phase of a project, the principal designer is expected to take control of planning, managing and monitoring of health and safety. This seminar will address what must be done, what should be done, and what that might look like in practice, so far as reasonably practicable.

This seminar will cover a wide range of CDM topics including health and safety legal framework and compliance, principles of prevention, and CDM background and context. It will also address design risk management, the pre-construction phase, and will demonstrate what a health and safety file could look like. Legal practicalities, appointments and notification will also be discussed, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

The aim of the seminar is for you to recognise your own strengths and weaknesses for CDM compliance in order to mitigate any shortfalls, as individuals and organisations.
