Café Politique Manchester

Date: 29 June 2010, 6:00 - 12:00

Location: Café Muse, Manchester Museum, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PL

First in a new series of Café Politique events in the North West from ippr north and Manchester Museum, from 6pm until 8pm.

With speaker Ed Mayo, chief executive of Co-operatives UK

Chaired by Ed Cox, director of ippr north

Mayo will be discussing how far new models of co-operation can offer an alternative to the way the economy works now. He will be discussing how co-operative models of business are enjoying something of a renaissance and arguing that, with increasing evidence of human behaviour as co-operative, we are missing out if we assume people are only self-interested or competitive.
