Full information regarding the Building for Life standard can be found at www.buildingforlife.org

CABE is working to embed Building for Life as an assessment tool within the planning process to help improve residential design quality. As of December 2009 Building for Life is now an indicator used in Annual Monitoring Reports to CLG.

Places Matter! is committed to providing Building for Life training to each local authority in the Northwest. This training is targeted at professionals from planning departments who have the relevant skills. The day will include experiencing the on-site assessment process as well as the pre-planning assessment process.
