Calling all architects, interior designers and lovers of design. Join us for a glass of wine and an exclusive opportunity to see design classics and future classics by Cassina.

The Authentic Icons exhibition by Cassina will be coming to us here in Manchester directly from the launch in London. We will be showcasing the great designs of the Cassina brand demonstrating the historical strengths & legacies and the contemporary work featuring the great designers of the current period. The work will be displayed in custom made cases printed with information about the collections.

Founded in 1927 Cassina's production has always been one step ahead of its times. Products were created combining function and practicality with the latest in current technical and technological know how. Cassina's products can be found in numerous museums, art galleries, cultural centres and private homes across the world

There are two collections:

The Maestri collection which profiles 20th century design classics

Pieces include the LC4 by Le Corbusier drawn in 1928 & made in 1965; Red & Blue Chair by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, drawn in 1918 & made 1973, Barrel Chair by Frank Lloyd Wright, drawn 1937 & made 1986 and Hill House Chair by Charles Rennie Macintosh, drawn 1902 made 1973.

The Contemporary collection showcases 21st century future classics

Pieces include Maralunga Sofa by Vico Magistretti; Feltri Chair by Gaetano Pesce and Wink Armchair by Toshiyuki Kita which can be seen as part of the permanent collection at MoMa in New York.
