The Made Smarter Review in 2017 identified the construction industry as a key sector with £89.2 billion of value over the next ten years through the adoption of currently known digital technologies. Industrial digitalisation is a massive opportunity for UK industry and the wider economy. But the technologies that underpin it are also highly disruptive, requiring business to be innovative, agile and adaptable. Our speakers will explore how we are progressing and how transformation can be achieved.

Jonathan Dunkley is an architect with over a decades experience in the construction sector in both architecture and major multi-disciplinary engineering firms. He is Digital Solutions Director for German investment fund, RSBG, and the technical and professional firms it owns, and is responsible for the development and delivery of new digital engineering services and solutions, aligning business and client objectives to emerging technologies to support business growth. Jonathan provides the tools and knowledge in order to embed a completely holistic and thorough approach to the use of BIM.

Nick Leach has more than 20 years’ experience working in the Construction industry and been involved in digital construction technologies in the UK AEC industry for over 11 years. Having worked for three large main Tier 1 contractors on a variety of projects he has experience at both project and at strategic levels. As the Strategic BIM Manager at Sir Robert McAlpine he is responsible for implementing and driving the integration of BIM and Digitalisation delivery nationally to ensure a consistent approach and that innovative ways of working are adopted to support the overall Sir Robert McAlpine business strategy and roadmap.
