Join renowned architectural photographer and trainer Martine Hamilton Knight for a day learning about the benefits of using good photography to promote your work and practice.

Previously the domain of skilled professionals, the digital revolution has meant that more architects can now get ‘stuck in’ and take competent images of their projects.

In this informative and ‘hands on’ day, speaker explores what is possible with your camera, vital kit you will need to get good shots, and moreover how to best use the skills you have to create them.

You will learn about basic rights with regard to use of images on the web, copyright, protecting your work on line and moreover, getting Google to find your work in the first place!

Finally, you will have the opportunity to shoot with your camera at the location with speaker on hand to guide you to in setting up specific shot types (weather permitting internal or external locations).

Four sessions for the course include:

  1. The role of an architectural photographer: what the job entails?
  2. A guide to basic camera skills
  3. Workshop session (external or internal)
  4. A look at images online: metadata, copyright and authorship

Equipment to bring – camera, lens(es), tripod if you have one, outdoor clothing, notebook and pen.
