      Location: North West – Manchester/Cheshire

      We are looking for the very best, front-end, Acquisitions Development Managers for one of the most innovative, fast growing and unique developers on the market.       The business currently has in excess of £1bn of assets in development. This is a fantastic time to join them on their journey!

      What will you be doing?

      Reporting into the Development Director, you will work closely with the acquisitions team on the process of successful bids through to handover to a post acquisitions Development Manager. The stage at which bids are passed to the delivery team can vary but broadly the role involves:

      • Providing development expertise and support to the acquisitions team
      • Produce the initial development risk register, organise preliminary cost estimate, and review all technical aspects of potential developments
      • Be responsible for technical due diligence of new site acquisitions
      • Provide support to Legal colleagues (internal and external) to support the negotiation and agreement of legal documents.
      • Assist with strategic planning exercises and scheme appraisals.
      • Articulate clear bid timelines and priorities for the sales, development, planning, legal and design teams working directly with (as above).
      • Review key project risks and opportunities at the initial stages and where appropriate develop/propose mitigation and implementation strategies.
      • Commission surveys and reports as necessary/recommended for Due Diligence processes.
      • Establish indicative overall programme including clear set of key milestones and sequence of activities to meet delivery dates.

      The ideal person:

      Ideally you will have a Degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, surveying or project management and hold a membership of RICS or CIOB. You’ll have experience working on the “front end” due diligence/acquisition process as well as delivery on projects in excess of £25M construction value. Ideally, you’ll have experience of residential / student / hotel development and at least 5 years’ experience delivering projects.
