The purpose of this seminar is to discuss the need for security documentation arising from a typical development. This seminar forms part of the RICS Northern CPD Programme.

Event Details
Whether acting for the Developer, Funder, Contractor or as one of the Consultants, the issue of security documentation will be a major concern. This has taken on an even greater significance as the market seeks to learn lessons and recover from the credit crunch.
This talk will consider such issues as the purpose of collateral warranties, whether they are ever enforced, rights in Tort, terms of a warranty, the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties Act) 1999 and Novation/ Assignment.
In addition the seminar will look at typical forms of security that would be required by a Developer and/or Funder such as Performance Bonds and Parent Company Guarantees.
