OnSide Manchester Site Visit with Kate Vokes, Bruntwood and Keith Hamilton, Roger Stephenson Architects

OnSide Northwest is a ground-breaking charitable enterprise leading the way in 21st Century youth provision to provide young people with top quality, purpose built, safe and affordable places to go in their leisure time. Based on the successful model of the nationally recognised Bolton Lads and Girls Club, OnSide's ultimate vision is to help provide every town and city in the North West with a successful and sustainable Youth Zone with the support, expertise and intervention needed to bring the private, public and voluntary sectors together. OnSide currently has Youth Zones open in Carlisle, Manchester, Oldham, and Blackburn with others in the pipeline in Wigan, Preston, Chester and Birkenhead. By summer 2012 10,500 young people a week will have somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. The Factory, Manchester is just one of these state of the art Youth Zones which in its first few weeks has already signed up over 500 members!

WiP, in cooperation with OnSide, is pleased to offer an opportunity to tour the facilities and talk to members of the building team and Janet Dunnett from OnSide. Kate Vokes from Bruntwood and Keith Hamilton from Roger Stephenson Architects will be talking about their involvement in the Manchester scheme. Canapes and drinks will be provided following the talk and tour to give attendees the opportunity for networking.
