Manchester Construction Best Practice Club Event

This event has been designed to outline two leading local authorities' sustainability strategies and what their philosophies are for the future

SPEAKERS

Darren Pegram – Sustainability Manager, Stockport Council

George Ablett – Principal Sustainability Development Officer, Cheshire West & Chester Council

Darren Pegram leads sustainability strategy at Stockport Council, including climate change, carbon management, low carbon communities and renewable energy. He will describe Stockport's approach and priorities on the low carbon agenda including the role of planning policy.

George Ablett specialises in sustainable development, planning for renewable energy generation systems, system delivery, energy management and carbon accounting. He has taken a lead role in developing the strategic evidence base and future direction for planning policy in low carbon transition. He will talk about the planning journey for seeing the active transition of the Council and its communities towards a low carbon future.

ON SITE PARKING IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT. THERE ARE SEVERAL PUBLIC CAR PARKS LOCATED CLOSE TO THE BUILDING.

TEA & COFFEE WILL BE SERVED DURING REGISTRATION

There is no separate charge for this event, but please note that due to the popularity of these events, places are available on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to Club Members.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is the lifeblood of our Club, without it, we cannot deliver such events. We welcome you to these events and also ask that you seriously look at becoming members of our Club. Membership entitles you to priority attendance at any Club events listed within a 12 month period for up to 5 people within your organisation, for a small fee of £100 for the year, which represents fantastic value!
