CECA Vision North West is the flagship event in the Civil Engineering Contractors Association's calendar for 2014, providing a unique opportunity both to highlight the achievements of the region's leading contractors, share best practice, and to explore forthcoming opportunities for the sector.

CECA Vision North West takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester on Friday 10 October 2014. The after dinner speaker is former England cricket captain, Alec Stewart OBE.

The day begins with an afternoon event for contractors, their clients and suppliers, in the form of a marketplace of exhibition displays and a series of short, sharp presentations on key issues affecting the sector.

To date, speakers include Dr Jon Lamonte, chief executive of Transport for Greater Manchester, Professor Peter McDermott of University of Salford, Iain Taylor, partnerships director of Peel Holdings, Matthew Atherton of Costain (winner of CECA NW Young Professional of the Year 2013), Steve Moore, regional director of Environment Agency, Keith Gardner from Skanska (on the Northern Hub) and Samantha Ulyatt, head of supply chain, United Utilities.

After time for networking and drinks, dinner will be served, followed by the annual CECA North West Awards presentation and an after dinner speaker.

Tickets for the dinner are £70 a head plus VAT. The afternoon session is free, but places must be booked beforehand.

The event starts at 2pm after a buffet lunch and ends at 4pm. The dinner starts at 7pm.
