Zerum expands in region
The consultancy has made two new hires in its North West team – Luke Bishop as associate director and Hamza Waseem as project manager.
Bishop joins from construction consultancy Gardiner & Theobald where he worked for eight years, most recently as associate director. He has worked on projects such as Manchester Metropolitan University’s science and engineering building, and, outside the region, on Hereford’s Old Market Shopping Centre.
At Zerum, he will work on some of the company’s Manchester projects including St Michael’s and the development of several student accommodation schemes across the city.
Notable schemes the Manchester and Leeds-based planning and building consultancy is working on include the £59m first phase of KKR’s St Michael’s; the £64m Gorton Street in Salford; the £23m Natex student accommodation scheme in Liverpool, and the £23m City Place in Chester.
Said Bishop: “I am very excited to be involved with reshaping the Manchester skyline through the incredible schemes we are working on at Zerum. I am really looking forward to joining such a great team full of top-tier talent.”
Hamza Waseem, meanwhile, has joined Zerum as project manager having relocated from Canada. Waseem will be working on projects across the region, including Natex in Liverpool and two upcoming hotel developments.
Zerum’s cost management director Russell Wright Turner said: “People are our greatest asset and it has been great to welcome Luke and Hamza to the team.
“We are really looking forward to the year ahead as we continue working with our key clients on some of Manchester and Leeds’ biggest developments.”
